Performing moves beyond what the syllabus permits may lead to disqualification.

- For the safety of all those on the dance floor, no drops, lifts, or aerials are allowed during any event.
Proficiency Points
- The Vegas Scarlet Signature is a CDA Fair Level competition and follows the rules set forth by the Collegiate DanceSport Association (CDA) for proficiency points.
- Both dancers in a couple must individually be eligible to dance at any given level. In the Standard, Smooth, Rhythm and Latin categories, couples may enter the lowest level for which both dancers are eligible, and the next higher level (e.g. a couple dancing Bronze Latin may also participate in Silver Latin, but not Gold Latin).
- In the Nightclub category, couples may only enter one level (Beginner or Advanced) for each dance.
- Dancers found to be dancing in a category for which they are ineligible may be disqualified.
- To look up your Fair Level points, use the Fair Level Point Lookup Tool.
